Sagnier as Candida Höfer

Antonio Sagnier, grandson of the architect Enric Sagnier, presented yesterday at the Francisco Godia, building by architect, the book “Sagnier Architect by Candida Höfer”, a publication created to pay homage and the trilogy dedicated to one of the most important architects of Barcelona in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
This book shows the audience in a visual way the interiors of a selection of the most important buildings in Barcelona, ​​among more than 400 that projected throughout his career, with the help of the renowned German photographer Candida Höfer.

“Architect by Candida Höfer Sagnier” is the third and final publication of the complete works of Enric Sagnier (Barcelona, ​​1858-1931) which consists of two books: “Sagnier Architect (Barcelona 1858-1931)” (2007) and “Route Sagnier. Architect (Barcelona 1858-1931) “(2009). While the first book was intended to rescue the history of architecture Sagnier figure and the second guide format has helped to disseminate his work, the latter intended to be a work for enjoyment through artistic look Exquisite and Candida Höfer.

Candida Höfer (Cologne, 1944) is a German photographer and artist long distinguished history and one of the main representatives of the so-called Düsseldorf School.
